AMICI-I.FAST WP13 Platforms for characterisation, treatments and test of materials Workshop
The AMICI-I.FAST WP13 Workshop on Platforms for characterisation, treatments and test of materials will take place in Orsay, France (FR) from 22nd to 23rd June 2023.
The aim of this workshop on Platforms for characterisation, treatments and test of materials is to gather personnel from the labs operating Technological Platforms (TPs) of this type and possible users in particular from industry, in order to discuss the present exploitation of TPs in operation in the European Institutes.This workshop will also give the opportunity to present Industry needs for their innovative projects and to discuss how these TPs could be better exploited.
AMICI ETIAM Workshop on Vertical SRF Cavity Testing
The AMICI ETIAM Workshop on Vertical SRF Cavity Testing will take place in DESY from 14th to 15th September 2022.
During this meeting, AMICI partners will report the results of the different work package activities. The workshops organised by the AMICI-ETIAM collaboration are dedicated to a particular type of Technology Platform, which will gather personnel from the labs operating TPs of this type and possible users in particular from industry.
IPAC20 for Industrial companies

Conference poster sessions and coffee breaks will be located throughout the exhibit hall in order to maximize interaction between exhibitors and conference participants.

AMICI Third Annual Meeting
The AMICI Third Annual Meeting will take place in Paris-Saclay from 8th to 10th October 2019.
During this meeting, AMICI partners will report the results of the different work package activities. This meeting will also give participants the opportunity to introduce the post-AMICI phase including the possible implementation of the ‘Technology Infrastructure’ concept for the European scientific community.
AMICI Second Industry Forum
The AMICI Second Industry Forum will take place in Brussels on 17-18 September 2019.
This industrial forum will be the opportunity for the participating scientists, engineers and industrial companies to discuss about the interaction between Technological Infrastructures and Industry, as well as the future of research facilities worldwide including the societal challenges to address.
AMICI Second Annual Meeting
AMICI Second Annual Meeting took place in Salerno (Italy) from 22nd to 24th January 2019.
During the Second Annual meeting, AMICI partners reported the progress of the different work package activities and the status of the last deliverables. This meeting provided also the opportunity for participants to share views on the post-AMICI phase and on the presentation to the European scientific community of our concept of the Technology Infrastructure and its possible implementation.
Big Science: Partner & Industry Day
The Partner and Industry Day was a unique opportunity for people from companies in Europe to convene in order to examine and discuss the opportunities in Big Science Organizations.
The collaboration between Big Science Organizations and Industry was vital for the realization of challenging scientific projects, like the LHC, ITER, ESS, EU-XFEL and FCC, that have recently projected Europe to an undisputed position of worldwide leadership.
SPAS2018 Conference
The conference Superconductivity & Particle Accelerators took place in Kraków at The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ PAN) on November 26-30, 2018.
The conference was devoted to research in the domain of superconductivity and its applications in science, as well as on research in the field of particle accelerators, conducted in Polish research institutions as well as by Polish scientists working in the international laboratories. It was a continuation of the previous conferences, held at the IFJ PAN in 2012, 2014 and 2016. The objective of this conference was to identify current and potential areas of research in superconductivity and particle accelerators, developed and possible to develop in Poland and to determine the needs in the infrastructure to support this research.
AMICI-ARIES workshop
AMICI-ARIES workshop on Intellectual Property in collaborating activities between Research and Technical Infrastructure and Industry.
Both EU projects ARIES and AMICI have identified IPR in common programs between Research or Technical infrastructure with industry as a topic that deserves more discussion with the aim to define standard common practices and procedures. Four presentations from KT representatives and experts of CERN, DESY, INFN and STFC are planned, followed by presentation and commen/pts from industries representatives ( C.Boffo from Babcock Noell GmbH – Bilfinger and A.Ceracchi from Cecom). The main point under discussion was centered on how managing the possible IPR conflicts between industries and academia participating into joint projects.
BSBF2018
Big Science Business Forum 2018 took place in Copenhagen on 26-28 February 2018. This event was the first one-stop-shop for European businesses and other stakeholders to learn about Europe’s Big Science organisations’ future investments and procurements worth billions of euros.

Industry Days
The Industry Days were held in Padova on April 18-19. This workshop was a unique opportunity for key people from vital companies and Technological Facilities in Europe to convene in order to examine and discuss the goals and tangible actions of the AMICI project, so that the expected objectives can be reached with maximum efficacy and mutual benefit.
